Contemplating What We Are

Sometimes

As if

A different person

This minute

This hour

This day

This past 5 years

What changes?

State and Trait

As they say

Temporary State

Permanent Trait

As if

Anything

is

permanent…

The moments of fear

The moments of bliss

Can we treat these moments

The same?

What about chronic fear

and anxiety

Chronic depression

Can there be chronic bliss? 

Not disabling Bliss

Not the overwhelming bliss

Sitting within All-That-Is,

And All-That-Is-Not

The everyday bliss

Where we treat moments of fear and bliss

The same

Transcending

the clouds

that come

and go

Rising up

As if

In an airplane

Looking down

Upon

Our

Being

Our

Doing

Watching

Ourselves

Running around

Seeing

The

Big

Picture

Compassion arises

Love arises

Forgiveness arises

Seeing our

True measure

Resting

Peacefully

Alternating

The Do-ing

With

The Be-ing

A big

Smile

Arises
